My grandfather in the StarTribune

During the 1950s and '60s, WCCO Radio personality Jim Hill had a captive audience for his early-morning show: Minnesota dairy farmers.


"Back then, every farm had cattle and a radio in the barn," recalled longtime 'CCO announcer Roger Erickson. "Jim used to do a little feature called 'Milking Music' -- usually a polka."
